Carla Sturdy has dedicated her career to the practice of refugee law and has represented thousands of refugee claimants at their hearings before Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board.
Carla graduated from the University of Toronto in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1993. She has been practicing immigration and refugee law since 1996. In addition to refugee claims, Carla is experienced in a wide variety of immigration matters, including matters before the Immigration Appeal Division, Applications for Judicial Review in the Federal Court as well as Humanitarian and Compassionate and PRRA applications.
